Festival Celtique de Quebec, August 29 to September 8, Celebrates Canada's Irish and Scottish Heritage


Canada's annual Celtic Festival of Quebec is taking place in Quebec City on August 29 through September 8, 2013.

The festival kicks off on Thursday, August 29,  with a whiskey and cheese reception at the Morrin Center, followed by a Celtic gathering at L'Auberge Internationale de Quebec at 8:00 p.m, featuring live music  Here are more details

Highlights of this year's festival includes a concert by Irish uilleann piper Paddy Keenan on Friday, August 30, a Celtic parade through Quebec on Saturday, August 31, and a street ceili dance on Sunday, September 1.  The festival ends with a Highland Games celebration on Sunday, September 8, at St. Patrick's High School.  Here is a full schedule of activities
